About...

I strongly believe one should never stop learning, from books, from life, from others; but it is an expensive choice, if you decide to pursue your studies, you have to choose: from a Master’s Degree in Architecture or a MBA, from Sculpture to Cinema, from Literature to Restoration, Photography to Construction. Architecture is not a static subject, it is art and it is technology.

Broaden one’s horizons is an often heard sentence, but after careful consideration I have come to believe this is the exact time to apply it on my life. I want to learn, I want to improve, I want to share my knowledge, and I want to grow; so, in few words, I want to broaden my horizons.

Alma Bañuelos was born in Bogotá, Colombia one very early morning of August, most precisely August 19th 1976. Friends and family refer to this occasion as the last time she was early for any appointment.

After wandering around South America, Mexico, the Caribbean , and even one year in the French Riviera, she attained an Architecture degree. After that, she still moved around some more, flirting, mostly, with construction and photography.

She has participated in photography exhibitions in Guadalajara (Mexico) and more recently, in New Media exhibitions in Göteborg (Sweden).

At the moment she is located in Göteborg, wondering to try her 3rd Scandinavian winter in a row and fighting back the very annoying habit of speaking of herself on the third person.

You will find a collection of many things, professionally and not so much.

Truth is, the web is a single empire today, and this is the language, some day, I hope in the (very) near future I will upload a version on my native Spanish or even my rusting French (I'd like to joke about my barely existent Swedish, but that would be too much bragging), but for present moment 90% of the contents are in English.

I find the sections' names very self explanatory, but if in doubt, click and read, and if the material does not make much sense, then please click somewhere else exercising your right to information and my right to randomness. If anything else fails, and you feel you must let me know, drop me a line at yabbasha[at]gmail[dot]com

Last [known] update: Thursday October 4, 2007. Before that, somewhere between February and August 2007. Every other week or so, or at least some weekends in between

Statistics: not very interested, but thank you for asking...

Usually news go here, but truth to be told, I kind of always update late.
